COOL URBAN PINK, PURPLE AND BLUE WEDDING | CROYDON

The idea of pink and blue wedding inspiration is a turn off for many [me included], but what if I told you the wedding styled shoot was full of urban graffiti, neon lights, colourful suits, party banners, cocktails to die for and a red telephone box! Now I've got your attention, let me show off the photos from Leesha Williams Photography and styled to perfection by Jess from The Italian Dream. The shoot at The venue on Middle Street in greater London was the backdrop of dreams for this chilled out city photo shoot.

One of the best parts of the shoot was the venue. The Venue on middle street has 3 floors, each with unique spaces to bring your wedding to life, whether you go for 1 or all 3, there is lots of scope for light and airy ceremonies, a chilled meal and a dancefloor with dark and moody vibes and luxury velvet sofas. There were already neon and festoon lights and a retro telephone box as part of the decor so not much more was needed but with some kiss me candles and a party starts now banner, the venue looked on point, giving Leesha loads to work with and allowed for loads of cool photos.

Jess styled the venue with cool white and pastel pinks, because sometimes less is more! The statement came from the models who wore pink and blue, as well as gorgeous veil and heart earrings. The whole day was full of fun and even allowed a walk about to get some cool graffiti pics for true urban feels!

How to create a chilled and fun urban wedding

The venue always decides how your day will feel, so if you want chilled, you need to find a space that is fun and calm. Either find one that has decor to match that feeling or find a Blank canvas space so you can create your own. That way you can make your dreams come true by making a real life Pinterest board! Luckily London has so many cool warehouse and industrial wedding venues and spaces, as well as pubs to have the perfect wedding and/or wedding reception, plus the bonus of amazing graffiti and spaces for outdoor cool urban photos...what's not to love!

For your ceremony, consider a calming, light and airy space. Your photos will be great and you'll be able to see all your guests. Often warehouse and loft spaces with skylight or floor to ceiling windows can be perfect and you can keep the decor simple because the space does the talking. Have a banner at the end of the aisle as the focal point, that's honestly all you need, because let's face it, all eyes will be on you at the front!

If you want outdoor photos with cool urban graffiti, then speak to your photographer or do a recce mission yourself beforehand so that you can get the photos done quickly and get back to your party asap.

If you want a full scale party reception, then a cocktail bar is perfect. Think retro 70's with luxury velvet and dark colour decor and sofas with gold touches...oh and don't forget a range of banging cocktails! Add to that a DJ with a to die for playlist and you my friends have the party of the century on your hands and guests on the dancefloor for the whole night!

add some retro touches like a red telephone box audio guest book [look up the big red box it's amazing!], some neon lights, fun candles and retro signs.

Even if you don't like being centre of attention, you're gonna be, so why not go big with your clothes. Dresses and suits can come in any colour you want, but this pink dress and suit combo gives me life. Maybe speak to your partner and colour co-ordinate, wearing the same colour can be such a nice thing to do together. finish off the look with simple statement jewellery and barely there make up with a bold lip.

You really can go simple a kitsch tiered wedding cake and with flowers too, less is more so maybe a loose bouquet and nothing more. if partying is your focus, then you don't need to spend loads on flowers and maybe consider eco grasses as an alternative, then you can keep them afterwards.
