it's romance with a gothic twist in a cemetery!

Arnos vale cemetery on the outskirts of Bristol city centre is a magical wonderland and perfect for all types of weddings. It has religious, civil and outdoor spaces as well as on site catering and the acres of amazing woodland for all your photos.

So you love a bit of Tim Burton and his weird and wonderful films. Actually, who doesn't?!?

Buffy the wedding slayer (actually she's the in house wedding co-ordinator at arnos vale, but I prefer this name) wanted to create a modern twist on the classic love story corpse bride, it was valentines day after all! Meaning we went for stunning pops red in the flowers (Created by Em at sunflower blooms), but added dry ice, cobwebs and skulls as part of the decoration.

the models wore stunning dresses and separates from Rachel Burgess (who was on hand on the day) and had their hair and make up perfected by Sarah from Hepcats.

Other suppliers (as well as myself) were boots from House of Elliot, cake by gorgeous Melanie todd, jacket by sammy lea and Hair accessories and jewellery from The Lucky Sixpence.

A touch of wonder put the final styling touches together and it was captured by stunning duo when charlie met hannah.

So you want to re-create this?

I think this style and look could be achieved very easily. It really is about looking for modern suppliers and the gothic element being purely small elements of decor. That way it's not tacky or overwhelmingly black and dark.

The thing I love about this shoot the most is that the romance stands out. The fairy lights and red roses scream love and the models...well they have got the 'come to bed eyes' down!
